Run a market on Allbites

Everything from creating your account to reconciling payouts after market day. Work through it in order the first time, then dip back in as you go.

01 · Getting started

  1. Create your operator account

Use Get started → I'm a market operator in the header. You'll accept the terms and privacy policy at sign-up; the version you accepted is stored against your account.

  2. Choose a subscription

Operator tools are unlocked by an active plan — monthly or annual, shown in your local currency on the Subscription panel of your dashboard. Payment is by card via Stripe; you can manage or cancel from the same panel once a plan is live.

  3. Complete business verification

Add your trading name, company details, legal status and any licences under Business. Allbites reviews these and emails you when your operator status is approved. Verification is what unlocks publishing a market publicly.

  4. Connect payouts

Link your Stripe account so pitch fees land directly with you. Allbites takes a 2% platform fee on stall payments; Stripe's own processing fee is shown line-by-line in Stall payments & payouts.

02 · Setting up a market

  1. Create the market

From the dashboard, add a market with its name, address, market days and description. The country you set determines the currency used for pitch fees — set this before adding stalls.

  2. Build the stall map

In Stall map, add each pitch and drag it into position. Each stall is tagged with either one product type or up to three for a mixed stall, plus its daily pitch fee.

Traders never see internal pitch names — they choose by product type, each shown with its daily fee. Save the grid when you're happy; pitches with upcoming bookings are locked from editing or deletion.

  3. Set capacity and booking rules

Under Capacity and market details, choose which booking frequencies you accept — ad hoc days, weekly, fortnightly or monthly — plus booking lead days and any minimum booking term (for example 3 months).

Weekly, fortnightly and monthly requests create a Stripe subscription for the trader rather than a one-off charge.

  4. Add terms and page content

Paste your market terms or link a hosted document. Traders must view and accept them before they can apply. Use Page content to add photos, footfall and copy for your public market page, and Widget to embed the market on your own site.

03 · Filling your market

  1. Review stall requests

Requests land in Traders with the trader's profile, products, insurance and food safety documents attached. Recurring requests arrive as a single series to approve once, not date by date.

Choose Approve, Waitlist or Reject. Once you've sent a decision it's final for that request, and the trader has 3 days to respond and pay before it expires automatically.

  2. Find and invite traders

Matching shows nearby traders by distance and product type. You can invite up to 50 traders directly with their name, business and email. Traders you invite because they already trade with you are exempt from the monthly trader fee.

  3. Use alerts and the waiting list

Tag stalls with product types and Allbites emails matching traders in range when a pitch is free. You'll also get alerts when suitable traders become available. If a booked stall is cancelled, the waiting list is promoted automatically and everyone is notified.

  4. Manage bans and staff access

Use Bans to stop a trader applying again, and Staff access to issue a token link so a staff member can run check-in without signing into your account.

04 · Market day and money

  1. Check traders in

The Check-in tab lists everyone trading that day. Scan the trader's QR pass or tick them off manually. Staff with a crew link see the same list on their own phone.

  2. Reconcile payments

Stall payments & payouts shows each charge with the Stripe processing fee, the Allbites 2% fee and your net amount, with downloadable invoices. Refunds are issued from the market's bookings view and tracked against the booking.

  3. Watch your analytics

Occupancy, revenue, repeat traders and pre-order volume are on the Analytics panels — useful evidence when talking to space owners or councils about renewing a site.

  4. Take on new sites

Browse qualified sites under Opportunities and register interest. Allbites introduces you to the space owner; if a site goes live the matching fee is equivalent to 12 weeks of rent, split between the space owner and operator.
